MARATHON

Marathon runners will experience the scenic views of the historic City of Waukesha, the Fox River and the Kettle Moraine scenery of southeast Wisconsin countryside. The trail crosses city streets and country roads. In the absence of police control, vehicles have the legal right-of-way.
Restroom facilities are located along the route, (at the start, 3 mile, 7 mile, 11 mile and 13 mile points.) There are mile markers along the certified course. The finish area at the Schuetze Recreation Center is heated and has showers.
The Marathon has a 6 hour cut-off. Net climb on the way out is 438 feet; the net drop on the way back is 438 feet. Aid stations will be located at the 3, 5, 7, 11, & 13 mile points along the route on the way out. All aid stations will have water, gatorade, and oranges. Additionally, bananas will be provided at Aid Station 4. We do not offer gel packs or GU.
A bag drop will be located at the fourth aid station (adjacent to Mickle Road and the Glacial Drumlin Trail). Bags should be labeled with name and race number and must be left at bag drop table in Schuetze Recreation Center by 7:30 am. Bags should be picked up following the race at the registration table.
For those wishing to view and encourage runners along the course there are several locations that offer this opportunity. Locations include: Parking area adjacent to the E.B. Shurts Environmental Education Center, Aid Station 1 at MacArthur Road, north side of Sunset Park in the Town of Genesee at S30 W28452 Sunset Drive, the restroom area near Mama D's Cafe in the Village of Wales on the Glacial Drumlin Trail, Aid Station 4 at Saxes on USH 18 and Mickle Road, Aid Station 5 at Lapham Peak State Park.
