Marathon Race Course is using the Alternate Route!
Once again, due to the long-lasting, lingering effects of
winter, the 2014 Trailbreaker Marathon will be adjusted
to accommodate runner safety and the conservation of the
Ice Age Trail.
The safety of our participants is our #1 priority.
Based on our most recent trail assessment the Trailbreaker
Marathon will replace the Ice Age Trail segment by extending
the marathon approximately 2.1 miles west, along the Glacial
Drumlin Trail, to just west of Waterville Road, where runners
will turn and head back to Waukesha. This route is also
USATF certified marathon!
As always, the safety of runners is our primary consideration.
Secondly, preserving the physical integrity of the Ice Age
Trail is paramount.
he Park Foundation of Waukesha appreciates
the flexibility of all our participants. Have a great race!
